NS Partnership Opportunity Announcement
The Nova Scotia Department of Municipal Affairs and Housing has announced the availability of vacant Provincially-owned land for residential developers in Nova Scotia, including several parcels near Tremain Crescent in Windsor. The Province has advised that proposals will be accepted for development of affordable housing on these lands until August 31, 2022.
It is up to the Province to accept or refuse any proposal. Proposals for Tremain Crescent must meet the requirements of the Windsor Land Use By-law. Until the Province advises WHRM of specific proposals, WHRM will not know the specifics of any proposals, or whether a Land Use By-law amendment or development agreement is needed. Any required amendment or development agreement will follow the required public process.
