The Municipality of the District of West Hants (MWH) wishes to recognize the valued contributions provided through the volunteer efforts of community organizations and agencies on behalf of its citizens. Council is committed to assisting organizations which provide beneficial programs, services or projects to the community while, at the same time, recognizing the financial restraints affecting the municipality’s ability to provide funding to these groups.
MWH has several grants and contribution programs, each with their own guidelines and criteria. All grant and contribution programs are overseen by the Grants and Contribution Policy below. Details of each program and/or application forms can be seen under each program below.
The Windsor/West Hants Active Kids, Healthy Kids Committee makes funding available to the community to support local groups and organizations to improve health and physical activity levels in youth.
The fund is meant to help the community to address innovative, non traditional, creative physical activity initiatives that enable youth and their communities to lead physically active lifestyles.
