The Municipality of West Hants, a growing and vibrant community located just 30 minutes from the provincial centre, is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Customer & Expense Services Clerk.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Customer & Expense Services Clerk provides accounting support for the Director and the Finance Department. The Customer & Expense Services Clerk is the first point of contact for customers entering or contacting the organization.
The candidate will hold secondary education with a focus on office administration, and a minimum of two years related experience. Municipal and accounts payable experience will be considered an asset. The Municipality of West Hants offers a competitive compensation package. We're Looking for Sports Complex Committee Reps!
We are looking for community representatives to sit on the committees recently created to assist with the design and the fundraising for the municipal sports complex.
The Sports Complex Design Committee has been created to design the proposed new sports complex which will include an ice rink and an indoor sports field with a running track. We are looking for two West Hants residents who have previous design and construction experience of similar projects to sit on the Committee.
The Sports Complex Fundraising Committee has been created to raise funds to support the construction and equipment needs of a new sports complex. We are looking for two West Hants residents who are active in our communities, have experience in fundraising and are willing to have a criminal records check completed.

The Municipality and the Town of Windsor recently created the Regional Anti-littering Committee in order to address the issues with litter in our region. The Committee is hoping to change the littering culture through education and prevention strategies in order to create cleaner communities for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to our area.
We are looking for four individuals that share our interest in the environment and a desire to reduce the litter in our communities. We will be choosing one resident from each municipal unit and one business representative from each municipal unit to join municipal councillors and staff representatives in this initiative.
