July 11, 2024, Heavy Rain Weather Alert and a Thunderstorm Watch
West Hants Regional Municipal Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) is activated at a Level 2. Level 2 means a partial activation.& We have staff and first responders in the ECC and are communicating with other agencies for situational awareness. NS EMO is aware of our activation.

As we become aware of washed-out areas, we will update here.
- Brook near Hwy 14 near Hwy 1/King (Garlands Crossing is underwater)
- Wentworth Rd at Cole Drive is flooded
- Stannus Street by the Windsor Community Centre is flooded
- Chittick Street in Hantsport is closed.
- Windsor Exhibition Grounds at Wentworth Rd and Cole Drive is flooded
- Wentworth Road from 1440 Wentworth Road to Hwy 14 has heavy water overflowing
- Falmouth Back Rd is washed out
- Localized areas within downtown Windsor
- Dyke Road near St. Famille Winery and Hanson Rd.
- New Cheverie Rd reduced to one lane in spots
- Many culvert washouts in various WHRM locations.
- Mines Road is impassable by Baldwin Nursery
- Bishopville Rd reduced to one lane
- Payzant Bog Road closed
- Cogmagun Rd closed
- Route 215 in Summerville is reduced to one lane
- Trunk 1 a Panuke Rd, is closed
- Multiple roads and driveways washed out in Falmouth and Bishopville area. NS Public Works is assessing..
