We understand that you may have questions regarding tax and utility invoice payments during the Canada Post strike. Payments must still be received by the due date or your account may be subject to interest charges or late fees. The Municipality provides other options for making payments as outlined below.
Making Payments – Following are our suggested payment options during this mail disruption:
- In person (debit, cheque or cash) at the Municipal office, 76 Morison Drive, Windsor. Open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Through your financial institution’s online banking (taxes and utility)
- Use our after hours drop box (cheques only) at 76 Morison Drive
- Use a courier service to send cheques and other priority mail
If you have recently mailed a cheque or other documents to the Municipality, please follow-up with our office to ensure we have received them, or to make alternate payment arrangements.
Vendors – If you are expecting payment during the duration of the postal strike, contact our Accounts Payable Coordinator. You can be set up for EFT or arrange to pick up your cheque at our office.
Document Requests (building permits, invoices, receipts, licenses, program guides, etc.) – Drop by the Municipal office during working hours, email your request or give us a call to determine how best to proceed.
