On behalf of Council, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Laycock, to the position of Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of the District of West Hants effective March 27, 2018.

Martin, along with a Master of Business Administration and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation has served as the Director of Finance with the Municipality since 2014. His experience as Director of Finance makes him extremely knowledgeable with the direction, projects and staff of the Municipality which will allow us to continue to move forward.

With over ten years of experience in corporate financial management, developing internal controls and policies while creating organizational efficiencies, Council is very pleased to have Martin in this role. He has proven his ability to develop, recommend and activate aggressive strategic plans while managing operational challenges.

We look forward to working with Martin as our Chief Administrative Officer as the Municipality continues to develop new opportunities as the best of everything.
